Thanks, Keith. I look forward to getting into it! Very soon!Keith Smith wrote:PE reads light states and radio states from the sim via FSUIPC (FS2004) or SimConnect (FSX). As long as your addons are playing nice with the sim, it shouldn't be a problem.

Re: Potential subscriber with a newbie Q
Ok...got the controls in FSUIPC squared away for PTT. My last question concerns the addons and setup I use; I have a lot of aircraft related tweaks that I have implemented (realityXP garmins, shockwave lights, etc..) and also I use the saitek panel suite (radio, multi, switch) ...are there any ...

Re: Potential subscriber with a newbie Q
Excellent. That was what I was looking for! Thanks! The wifey just gave me approval for the full one-year membership; I will be going away on vacation in the next days so I will most likely sign up then for the trial, and then on to the full subscription!

Re: Potential subscriber with a newbie Q
FSX. I am just wondering...how is the transponder changed? Is it via the client, or in my aircraft?
Orest, I am not sure what you are trying to say? Since I am not familiar with the software PE uses, I am a bit blind to how the PE controllers 'see' the xponder. Is it like a docked window showing ...

Re: Potential subscriber with a newbie Q
I am curious; What handles the transponder interaction...is it built into the client software or is it handled by the actual transponder in the aircraft?

Re: Potential subscriber with a newbie Q
Within the Pilotedge network, is it ok to depart VFR and fly practice precision and non-precision approaches at airports within the coverage area, or do I have to be on an IFR plan? Silly question, I kow, but in my Vatsim days I got scolded from a few folks for that

...Haha thanks Ryan! I am bored with the norm, and have to get my head into it a bit more now, so I have decided that this is the way to do it when I can't be up in the Cirrus. Cheaper, too hahaRyan B wrote:'Bout time Matt!

Re: Potential subscriber with a newbie Q
Thank you for the quick response, Keith. Very much appreciated. I am eyeing up the monthly subscription, but If my wife sees the real-world training benefits, I might get 'approval' for the one-year membership. I am getting started on my instrument rating, so there is a definite incentive. I am sure ...

Potential subscriber with a newbie Q

I am a pilot currently using FSX as a training tool. I have been perusing the forums and believe this to be the most comprehensive and realistic online ATC environment I have seen yet for PC-based simulation. I am looking to join, but was wondering about how the sound portion of the service ...
