Re: Tec Route Format Question...
My understanding of PSPP8B , is that the currently valid KAYOH STAR is to be flown WITHOUT any transition. Since KAYOH is the "common point" for the both the HECTOR and PALM SPRINGS transitions, this is the beginning of the STAR when no transition is specified. FRETS is identified as the l...

AIM 5−1−8 a3 note 4. “It is recommended that pilots file the maximum transponder or navigation capability of their aircraft in the equipment suffix. This will provide ATC with the necessary information to utilize all facets of navigational equipment and transponder capabilities available.” While you...

Re: Mammoth IFR Clearance Frequency...
See: https://www.pilotedge.net/pages/getting-started Pick up IFR clearances from the ground at non-towered airports on 122.20. This simulates a phone call to the overlying Center controller. Address them as “Denver Center,” “Oakland Center,” “Seattle Center,” etc based the ARTCC of your airport (eas...

Re: Cat2 disaster
As Marcus indicated, a more realistic tail number/call sign would be a good first step for you. The “GRS” call sign was assigned to “Golden Rule Airlines” which ceased operations in 2011. They had a fleet of 3 Antonov bi-planes based in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. To use that airline call sign while flying...

Re: Changing Runways in the pattern
Interesting that your initial clearance to land on 26 was issued by one controller (http://audio.pilotedge.net/2020/10/2020-10-25_19_18011.mp3 @ 10:40) after you made your midfield 30 position report. Your readback and the subsequent clarification seems to occur with a different controller (http://a...

Re: TEC Route Slider
That is awesome. We would need 6 of them to handle the existing 424 SoCal TEC Routes.
Looks like this was before the Q,P,M,J classification was created.

PE doesn’t close runways at non-towered fields, but if you want 100% realism, the airport is open for helicopter operations.
