Rating not showing up

Post by XOrionFE »

I jumped on yesterday afternoon at SNA and completed the V01 rating. The controller said I passed. I expected to be shown in the pilot roster of V01 rated pilots but looked this morning and am not listed there. Does it take time to show up? Did I not do something at the end of the flight that I should have before shutting down and disconnecting from PE?

they are submitted via a form on the website, then I process them by hand. I haven't done the ones from the afternoon yet.

you can always move on to the next rating right away, you don't need to wait for it to be posted.

Got it. Thanks. Just wanted to make sure I didnt miss something.

BTW - I just wanted to mention something about your training workshops. I got my real PP back in 2003. In 2005 I started Instrument training and had almost completed when I found out I was going to be the proud father of triplets at age 39. That put a big halt to my real world flying for many reasons (the most obvious is taking care of 3 infants). Well, I never have gone back in and started again and frankly really enjoy the simulation probably more. But that said I like real world and what Pilot Edge brings in terms of realism. So I started into your recorded workshops a week ago. I must say when I watched the first IFR workshop on Departures I learned much much more than I did in any of my previous training including the Sporty's and King courses I watched. Your lesson was so "to the point" if I may and his all the right little pieces. Superb! I just wanted to say thank you. You have got me excited about learning again and moving through ratings on PE. I also am one of those full cockpit 737 builder guys over on Cockpitbuilders but for all of the great work I have done building a replica 737 simulation I still am relegated to flying right seat when my friends come over (one of which is an ex CFII). I look forward to getting some skills back in me so I can take the captains chair confidently again.

Thanks again Keith and company!

Scott, it's great to hear you getting back in the saddle, and thanks for the kind words regarding the workshops. We've gotten some great feedback on those from a number of sources lately. You're not the first to compare them favorably to the off-the-shelf offerings from Kings and Sportys. It's definitely motivation for me to keep looking into ways to raise the bar for VFR and IFR education.

This stuff really IS a lot of fun, and once you have the big picture, the role of all the small pieces makes so much more sense, and that's what the workshops try to do, paint the big picture and then dive into the small stuff so that it all makes sense. Without the big stuff, the rules and regs just became a blur of arbitrary numbers, facts and figures.

Congrats on the triplets (I can't even imagine!!) and enjoy your aviation journey!
