I have PilotEdge running on my client pc very well, no problem whatsoever. I had just to reprogram wideclient to send virtual F13 key to PE as PTT on COM1/COM2 when I press/release my coms button on the joystick. Btw, is Private voice (see PEOptions/Voice/Input) of any use in PE?

No, private comms aren't used. You simply dial the frequency on the radio and talk. It doesn't have to be an ATC freq for it to work.
