This sounds great. I assume it would work for WingX as well? I actually wrote the developers of that app to see if I could convince them to accept GPS-in data from something other than their current roster of devices, but didn't get an answer.

FWIW, AviationMaps ( http://www.avilution.com/?page_id=416 ) now has direct in-program support, to accept GPS-OUT from X-Plane via wi-fi. Pretty slick.

Testing has been completed for X-Plane and we are currently shipping GPSsimcable from our website. Use the cable with your favorite geo referenced moving map charting application on IPAD and take your simulation training to the next level.

Cool, John! You should consider stocking an inexpensive USB-to-RS232 converter as well. I have one around since I work on Cisco gear and other stuff that still speaks serial, but it's not common these days. I'll be ordering one soon!

Congratulations, John. I know we've been interacting via email, but I wanted to post here, too. I have to echo Tim's message...I have two machines that I'd like to use this on, and neither of them have serial ports. There are a lot of different USB-serial converters on the market. As a customer who just wants it to work, if your site could simply point me to a converter that is known to work flawlessly and without any hassle, that would be awesome. Even better would be if you include an option for one on your site, too.

Ordered. When do you anticipate shipping? I'll be happy to post a full review of the setup/config with FSX/Foreflight and X-Plane/Foreflight

Also -- have you tested with ios6 yet?

Cool. Any word as to it linking up with Jeppesen FD for iPad? I have xPlane v9 (PFC FAA cert version), FSX and Prepar3d on the computer with FSUIPC. Jepp FD, Foreflight, and Skycharts on the iPad. Looking forward to knowing it will work with these programs.

John, there was a typo in the URL to your web site (calbe, instead of cable), I've fixed that for you.
