OK.... I do have to admit that it did take four attempts before I did this flight without huge glaring errors. But, in theory, the DP instructions are not that hard (IMO). No harder than say the IDLEWILD climb on JFK1. With the exception that in my case it always seems like the tower to departure radio call happens just before the HSI swings signaling the crossing of LAX315R (waypoint occurs quickly after take off during a time of high pilot work load).Keith Smith wrote:SMO just happens to have a particularly hairy set of instructions.

Does anyone have a thought on HOW to fly the PEEER1 DP? Since the turn from 210 to 255 isn't a named intersection won't the GPS draw a straight line from the airport to PEEER? If so the HSI would normally show the deviation from that line (not the 255 course).
