Great flight guys! Had a lot of fun. It was actually quite orderly.

Also had fun. Not quite as much traffic as the AOPA fly-in earlier today, but fun non-the-less.
A couple of things I noticed:
- People were tending to fly gigiantic patterns. In small piston singles you want to stay close enough to glide in if you lose power. I saw several laps that were 4-5 miles out on downwind.
- There were some interesting calls and personal pet peeves on the radio. There is no "active" runway at a non-towered field, so you can't be clear of it. I'm not sure what a "left" final is, either.
(Note, I mean this to be a lighthearted critique. Many of the real world pilots into Regional today were making similar calls.)
- Overall, people did a really good job staying out of each other's way and accommodating the many different planes and approaches coming in. Good job!

Yeah that was a blast! I was a little sloppier than I'd like, maybe partially due to flying a brand new plane (the new Alabeo 172 RG), but it really is different negotiating the pattern with other pilots at the same time.
More uncontrolled fly-ins!
