Peter, I was going to say, when you fly a real plane, do you look for the TX light every time your transmit? Doubtful

You would use it to debug a problematic situation, but not during normal ops.

AGREED. Break your chain with vatsim lol... this is Pilot Edge.

A couple of the original questions were missed so to get back to those:
What is the appropriate setting for FSX traffic when flying on Pilot edge
Should I turn it up or off?
Off.
Are there any limitation to the aircraft I can fly online at PE.
When I would fly on Vatsim i pretty much flew whatever I wanted and in particular I would like to fly aircraft with an FMS. programmable Nav device so that I could get procedures.( sids stars routing programmed into the device)
Generally no, the "Space Shuttle" comment relates to a user who didn't understand the service. If it's possible for that aircraft to be operated in the real world you can use it here.
