Ok, tried this - got an error message though. Was also not really complete directions for someone who doesn't know where to find some of the stuff...
But, it seems like though I did nothing, my radio panel is working OK. Fingers crossed.
FYI, I must have removed Saitek drivers at some point because I couldn't find any.
One issue though that I need to get past: My mixture isn't working in the Carenado any more. The axis is assigned properly, and it works in other aircraft. Any thoughts?
I want to get past this before getting on to other issues

thanks!

The solution for me was: uninstall any custom Saitek drivers and software (the stuff that you download form their own website: it's all outdated and buggy and there's no need for it, the default Windows drivers are just fine)
Download and run the following tiny tool USB Enhanced Power Manager Disabler: http://uraster.com/en-us/products/usben ... abler.aspx
It will scan all your Saitek hardware and disable the enhanced power saving capabilities of the ports where it's plugged,
These simple 2 steps completely solved for me the issue with the dark Saitek Radio Panel and the intermediate control issues with the yoke and pedals.
Since then I've been using the Saitek Radio Panel on both the F33 and the C210 + REP (and any other X-Plane addons for that matter) without issues.
Hope this helps!
