Alright I got the set up correct and I've been practicing at 46CA...I can fly the thing around just fine but I cant hover in place nor would I be any good at a hovertaxi scenario. I'll take the challenge not talking to SoCal otherwise be ready for a laugh when Heli 08B is near ground.
EDIT: IM READY

I won't be participating in TeamSpeak action. I will likely be streaming my experience on Twitch. If you want to gather and chat, have at it! Hope to see heavy rotor wash at CMA in a couple hours.

What's the air to air comms situation? 123.45? I won't be on teamspeak either, since I'll have dinner in one hand and a "collective" (?) in the other

That was a blast! Carl and myself joined Marcus for a jaunt across LA, flying pretty low and fast in our Bells (I was 206, they had 407 I think) and following the San Bernadino Freeway for a good chunk of time. Used the shorline heli route to SMO then later the San Berdanino highway transition through Ontario, which is awesome it goes about a mile north of KONT. I ended up on fire with an overspeed structural warning but we had some really good approaches and totally skilled radio work as expected

That was a blast! Hopefully we can organize a similar event in the future. Maybe Class Bravo transitions in Helis...
