PSPN17 which is V388 PDZ V197 POM V264 ITSME V186 DEANO V27 KWANG, I was flying a dash 8, is this correct?

That looks right. What was your route changed to, exactly? The only thing I can think of would be the addition of a SID to the route since TEC routes are area-specific, not airport specific. It's common to have local IFR departure instructions ahead of the published route, such as a SID.

Yes the SID was the cathedral1 , the route I filed was actually V388 PDZ V197 POM ..,and the clearance was CATH1 PSP V388 PDZ V197 POM , so it was just the beginning different because of the SID, and that was kinda normal anyway as I always seem to end up on the CATH1 , a controller told me once that it is designed to gain you enough height to clear the mountains behind palm springs . Now that you mention it Keith I remember this point about TEC routes being area specific rather than made for individual airports , and the modification the controller made makes perfect sense ! Another lightbulb moment :) Anthony
