PEaware might be getting some love in the future, one of the things we'll look at will be less delay between the systems. It's not too unrealistic, though...when you file in the r/w, you're in for a wait before it shows up anywhere :)

Filed my plan using the link: KSEE to KBFL

Fired up X-Plane.....loaded my Skymaster with fuel and passengers......started engines to warm up......called clearance.....copied clearance.....called for taxi....taxied....called for take-off.....took off.....flew the plan.....cleared ILS RWY30R approach.....established on localizer......cleared for landing......went ahead and did the holding pattern (doh!)........cleared to land...again....landed....taxied to ramp....shut down.....checked PEAware......flight logged.....disconnected from PE.....jumped up and down and did a happy dance! Way cool!! Filing online was fun and easy! Little things make me happy and this makes the sim just a bit more immersive. Thanks, Keith and gang for yet another great tool! Now I just need to let go of my IFR crutch and watch the VFR workshops to get my VFR protocol down.

I hope the time will eventually come where we'll actually forward offline strips to controllers (so they'll see it and amend it before you even connect), and have the ability to see offline flight plans on PEaware and other parts of the site (much like looking on FlightAware). This will allow forward thinking pilots to model the real world flow of checking flightaware (or other tools) to see what their clearance is going to be, or getting an email alert with the route they're likely to get (a huge benefit in the real world). Don't hold me to any of this, but that is the long, long term vision.

I like that vision! Keep up the good work, Keith!

Ryan, that's just the tip of the iceberg, actually :)

Testing has been completed and the link has been added to the main menu. Also, when you pull up a flight on PEaware, look under the route - there's a link to file that flight plan again.

If you run a VA with a route database or some other similar system, take a look at that link out of PEaware and feel free to copy that format to add a 'File on PE' button to your site. At some point, there'll be a button on our flight plan file form to allow you to get a link for what you just put in, but it'll be at least a few days before I can get to that part.

Gentlemen,

I have a question. I just completed KSNA-KVNY direct via MINI ROUTE.

I filled VFR from the webpage and nothing showed on the main page, I waited a bit but no luck.

Since I refiled from the simulator ( X-Plane), my VFR flight plan showed up on the main PE page very soon.

What is the relation between these two and whihc one should I use or maybe both?

Thank you, cheers, AJ
