I know I have asked this before. I just purchased the A2A 172 Trainer (P3Dv2.2) this weekend. Would this be able to work as the external model with the F1T G1000 running the avionics?

Hi there - to be honest, I am not certain the A2A 172 is fully compatible with P3D v2.2 yet. Nothing I have seen says it is compatible and many forums specify to rename files and folders to get it to work. So from that point of view I would say it probably cannot be used.

However, if A2A has in fact updated it to work with P3D v2.2 then go for it! You may get some differences in the electrical systems or carb heat (does the A2A use carb heat or fuel injected?) but it should work well overall. Let me know how it goes because I wanted to purchase it but didn't want to spend the money until it was updated to P3D v2.2 compatible.

Yes the A2A 172 has a specific installer for P3D2.2. I found it last night digging through their online store. There's one for academic, professional, commercial which ever license you have. You can also buy a bundle for both platforms if wish be. It is fuel injected only. No version for carb heat that I'm aware of.

Wow that's good info to know... can you send me a link to where you found it? I looked the other day and didn't see it.

Working on your tabs explanation now.
