Brent, it was a pleasure to "meet" you. I will keep my fingers crossed for fixing the problems you had/have. can not wait for Alex to post new fly-ins or for letting me do it.

Cheers, AJ

Fun/challenging fly-in. VFR under 2700' ovc out of Van Nuys, vectors around traffic near KBUR, hand flying an ill-handling Mooney while constantly referring to the TAC chart to figure out where I was (I never use GPS or any live maps). It was cool to see Reece's (?) Piper just ahead and above as I got close to L65. I was a bit late to the party so I didn't get to chat with you guys on arrival but I hope to next time.

I will be creating all the posts this week end. You guys start coming up with flight suggestions!!!
I will do the same as soon as I have a few minutes and...a map on my screen

. Then we pick what we like best and I will add the full itinerary to the scheduled events!
Thanks All, this is fun.

Ok, before I open the relative threads...here are a few ideas:
1) Inverted flight: Perris Valley/Van Nuys
http://skyvector.com/?ll=34.01669644893 ... :A.K2.KVNY
2) KLAX/KHMT
http://skyvector.com/?ll=33.82421747020 ... :A.K2.KHMT
3) KSAN/KNUC
http://skyvector.com/?ll=32.88610018415 ... :A.K2.KNUC NOTE: I couldn't find the CTAF for KNUC. Docs indicate presence of Tower. Not 100% sure if PE controlls this ATP.
4) KPSP/19CL
http://skyvector.com/?ll=34.28291654915 ... :A.K2.19CL
5) KSNA/0CA5
http://skyvector.com/?ll=33.39031624291 ... :A.K2.0CA5
6) KSNA/L35
http://skyvector.com/?ll=33.90647245507 ... V:A.K2.L35
Let's add more and select what we like!

FYI - KNUC is a military field (USN). Tower frequency is 126.75. My understanding of PE policy is that military fields are treated as non-towered fields with tower frequency used as CTAF.

Link to current A/FD is:

I am working on a project to add frequencies and A/FD links to

Appreciate the feedback. Glad it is of some value. Let me know if you see any issues or have suggestions to enhance functionaltiy. It is still very much a "work in progress".

Alex, why don't you post the corresponding threads and we can discuss each fly-in in it's thread. What do you think?
Since we agree on the route , we will edit initial thread and we can also discuss things related to a particular one.
My favorite from your suggestions: Inverted flight: KLAX/KHMT KSNA/0CA5 KSNA/L35
When we decide on what we fly for each fly-in, we will check if there is a TEC route of course and we will have IFR and VFR plans ready so we can pick depending on the weather and preferences.
Boy, I am excited now ..
Ken, you r application is great, I sure love it, now it is like few applications at once.
Checking TEC routes, planning on Skyvector and filling on PE, fantastic.
When I have a chance, I will write down if I see any way to improve functionality, outstanding job, really.
Adding military fields frequencies will be great, they are just like non towered fields seen by PE.
I know that couple of military fields are controlled , I need to ask Keith.
I will make a new post on that.
Cheers, AJ

It's simple, if a field is military-only or "prior permission required", then it's non-towered on PE. If it's joint use (like March ARB or Yuma), then it's towered on PE.

AJ, I can do that.
I was waiting to have the flights selected first, but I guess I can open the threads now...
Keith thanks for the info.
EDIT: Threads created. We just need to select the flights!
COOL STUFF!
