Mike, there will be a period of time immediately after launch where the airspace will be open for all users (trial and paid) to fly in the expanded airspace at no additional charge. We'll likely host some events to celebrate the expansion during that time.

Regarding adding it to an existing subscription, that will be handled by the billing system very cleanly. It'll be a pro-rated figure to add the expansion until the end of the current billing period, then the regular rate for the subsequent billing periods. Your billing cycle would not change (as you hoped).

David,

Regarding your issue, it's interesting that an ubuntu 64 bit system had the same problem, that's what I'm running and haven't been able to replicate. We'll tackle it again soon but I wouldn't sweat it too hard, the use case where the system would disconnect you would've be very narrow in any case. That said, I suspect we'll have the issue resolved by then.

Keith,

Am I understanding you correctly? There will be a charge after the trial period for the new expansion area and it will be added to all current subscribers if they want to fly there?

Yes, this was detailed earlier in the thread. More accurately, you need to opt-in to subscribe to the new area. If you take no action, your subscription charge will not change and you will not have access to the expanded area.

Think of it as a new premium channel being added to your cable lineup.

Just wondering if this has happened yet. I don't see a reference to it on the site.

Not yet but I think it will be hard to miss when it happens....

New voices on the scopes is looking like a good sign though :)

You can bet there will be some pretty significant announcements when it happens. The biggest indication that it hasn't happened is that the coverage area page on the pilotedge web site doesn't show the new area.

We're still waiting on data from the FAA, they've taken longer than they originally said.

EGE isn't on the full time staffing list, but ASE will be. EGE will be on the rotation list.
