Brad, well aware. I'm having to juggle the development of this with other commercial ventures that are important for our long term stability, so it's a bit of a battle. As soon as I've got it going, I'll post about it here, it's not been forgotten and I know a lot of people are waiting on it.

Thanks for the update. As a small biz owner myself, I know the importance of priorities and taking care big stuff first.

I do have an update to share. I made some significant process on the 32/64-bit bridge for the Mac. However, I have a feeling that deploying and supporting it is going to be fairly cumbersome. For that reason, it's likely to be a step in the wrong direction.

I'm leaning towards simply pulling the trigger and updating the voice server to the new version and requiring everyone to upgrade their clients (FS2004, FSX, X-Plane windows/mac and even the controllers). It's the lesser of two evils. Before some of our new commercial clients start scaling up operations, I think we need to swallow this pill and just get it out of the way. If I leave it too much longer, there's a chance that the upgrade would be even more painful for certain customers who have done widescale deployments of the existing client.

So, let me talk this through with some of the effected parties and we'll set a date. In the mean time, I'll set up a test server running the new voice server and test the native mac 64-bit client.

With any luck, I'll be able to time this with the release of some of the nextgen CSL models, so people will have something to look forward to from the upgrade, other than the Mac 64-bit people having a massive party :)

Thanks for the update. Moving the champagne to the ice bucket, but will leave the cork in until further notice.

Wow Keith,

I was looking at this thread last night and was thinking to myself, it has almost been a year since this thread was started. I even thought about asking if there had been any progress, but I didn't. Now I look this evening and see this. Great news! Hopefully it won't be too much longer and I hope your ears weren't burning too badly.

Keith,
With this new insight about updating all the OS clients, how will this affect my two computer setup and the special plugin(s) you made for myself and AJ?

This is excellent news!!! I have missed hearing the familiar voices of the PE controllers. I can't wait to get back to PE with a 64bit Mac client!

Thanks Keith!!

This is great news, i'm not hooking onto the network mainly because of a missing 64bit plugin. Once it's there, i'm game for sure!

How's the 64-bit looking Keith? I've been dying to get back on PE with some ATC. Such lonely radios without ATC direction :D

The code has been modified to work in the 'fat plugin' configuration (allowing for a single, unified distribution for all operating systems, 32 & 64bit). I'm just finishing off one new feature (it's nearly done) which will sweeten the deal for everyone (since everyone has to upgrade). In fact, the feature is done for X-Plane, I just have to see if I can get it working for the FSX client.

All that remains is to build a 64-bit version of the Mac plugin, test it against the new vox server, then set a cut over date for EVERYONE, and then pull the trigger.
