Reality-XP GNS 530 on X-Plane 10 can not install

I got so frustrated with the Reality-XP GNS 530, trying to install it in X-Plane version 10.
During the installation process, I am asked for a folder where X-Plane 9 resides and when I pick X-Plane 10 folder, it tells me it is not a valid X-Plane 9 folder.
Yes, it is X-Plane 10!
E-mailed support twice, no response.
Anybody else succeeded installing GNS 530 in version 10?

Perhaps it is not compatible with X-Plane 10? If it's looking for specifically named files/folders, that would explain it.

I have searched online various sources and it supposedly works in X-Plane version 10.
Their support is dead for several months, it was not just me.
I have also found X-Plane plugin that should do the job, I will try it tomorrow.

On the other hand, it can wait a bit until I feel comfortable navigating using non-GPS instruments and it will take a while.

Did you have any luck getting your Reality XP product to work with X-Plane 10? If so, how did you do it?
I've been extremely frustrated with the lack of customer support from them...it's pretty disappointing for a $50 payware product.

I would install the xp9 demo, install the gns software, then copy whatever it installs over to the xp10 installation.

This is what I did and its working fine with XP10

I guess their installer is hardcoded to look for a folder that's titled "X-Plane 9".
In that case, a simple workaround would be to simply rename the XP10 folder to the XP9 title and then do the installation.

Maybe creating a hard link to point the x-plane 9 name towards the x-plane 10 directory would work. In Windows 7, the command goes like this:
mklink /j "c:\x-plane 9" "C:\x-plane 10"

This is a little late but I thought I would reply in case anyone else has this problem. I recently too found this problem and found the solution to be that when the installer asks which files to install; in my case it wanted to install files for x-plane 9 and 10, by un-checking x plane 9 files will allow the installer to go through with the x-plane 10 install folder.
