6.1.4 Departure End of Runway (DER). The end of runway declared available for the ground run of an aircraft departure.

as far as routes go what you have there is fine.

I did think about it but I decided on the longer one for a reason that I want to use VOR navigation. Thank you again. Cheers, AJ
