PilotEdge is just terrific. Great learning tool. Realism unsurpassed.

Quick question: Sometimes I'm unable to log on to PilotEdge,
with the following message:

"Logon failed. Can't get pilot data from FSInfo"

I also get the message when I'm flying with PilotEdge and my
FSX freezes.

Thanks in advance for anyone who has info and advice on understanding
and correcting this problem.

Thanks for the kind words, I'm thrilled that recognize the quality of the service that we have on offer.

Good news, your problem is common, and easy to fix.

From the Common Issues and How To Fix Them sticky thread...

Issue: Login fails with this message: SendLoginInfo () aborting, unable to get required pilot data from FSInfo

Solution: The sim isn't fully running, so PE can't extract the info it needs from the sim to connect to the network. Don't attempt to connect until your aircraft is positioned on a ramp, and not still on the free flight configuration screen. Also make sure "Pause on Task Switch" is DISABLED in Options->Settings->General.

I plan on having a much more meaningful error message in the next build of the client. When I first wrote that error message, I wasn't yet aware of the circumstances in which it might happen.
