server relocation

In anticipation of the arrival of Hurricane Sandy on the NE coast, the PilotEdge data and voice servers are being relocated to a hosting facility (at long last). If you have issues connecting this morning, it's a simple matter of waiting for the DNS records to propogate to your ISP. This shouldn't take more than an hour from now.
The map may be offline for a couple of hours while we get it migrated, too. It's also likely that peaware won't be capturing flights for a little while.

this hasn't been an easy process. Darned hurricane.
PEaware appeared to be working initially, but in fact, it was reading eventually became stale data. I've just made a change that should keep it fresh, we'll see.
Unfortunately, PEaware has missed all of the flights for today up until this point. Under different circumstances, I'd be able to check all of this thoroughly after making changes, but today has been a balance of trying to migrate PE and trying to prepare the house for 80mph winds tomorrow here in the NE.

Atc audio is not being updated because of the storm. We haven't been able to relocate that feature yet, the new servers don't have the required operating system support.
The office server was doing fine until Sandy came along.

Cannot reach the Training Program pages. Guess these are not yet transferred.
When do we expect all will be well again??
Cheers, Tomas

Power needs to be restored to the PE offices in New Jersey. It will probably be another several days. Somewhere around 8-10 million people are currently without power in the USA, so it is a sizable project...

The PE training program isn't one of the services that's going to be relocated. It needs to stay on the servers that are at the office. Those are likely to be unreachable for another 3-7 days. It's purely a function of when the power is restored of the office building.
