C172 Fun Flight

Finally got back into the air again with a coworker. It was a C172 rental ($95hr/wet - decent!), with Garmin 430 dual NAV/COMMs - in decent shape. This is a far cry from socal but even with the hazy skies we went up the north shore of Lake Superior then back for an ILS where I work ATC (KDLH), then back to KSUW full stop.
It's always fun to talk to the controllers from the other side of the mic, even when I used my PE callsign once or twice (N8068C)
Here's a few pics, enjoy!
(p.s. the compression from photobucket kills the quality GRR)

Park Point

Mandatory Mug

Hazy back down the Shore

Practice ILS 27

Guard Weekend which means the F16's went flying on Saturday, here they are taxiing out

Pass of the "office"

Looking E departing KDLH

Famous Aerial Lift Bridge near top of frame

Approaching Superior, WI

Parking Spot @ KSUW

Sky Harbor KDYT (small island)

Final Ry 22 KSUW

Almost Home
