I'll be off work Friday afternoon so I should be able to make this one. Couple questions though.

I missed the flight planning meeting yesterday, can I still join the flight? Will there be a preflight briefing? Was the choice to go IFR or VFR made in yesterday's meeting or can we still choose our own weather? If so, how is that handled during the flight - is there a VFR group and an IFR group? I only fly VFR...

Hi Jeff,

No problem, feel free to join & fly whatever route you wish under VFR or IFR.
Just leave KPSP & somehow get yourself to KSMO. The more traffic we can generate the better.
Some are flying the TEC route to KSMO & we have two different VFR routes. One OCN & Mini Route &
the other calling at Fox Field KWJF enroute to KSMO.
Any of these or any other way is fine.

The Flt Pln sessions are more of a brainstorming thing (some say it's a case of the blind leading the visually impaired) where we each learn from each other.

I will be there. The Weather will determine wheter it is VFR or IFR since I only fly real time & real weather. See you on the apron at PSP half an hour before the flight.
