Can anyone comment on the stability of the X-Plane 10.20 betas? I'm tempted to download and install.

I'm assuming you can install it with the same license side by side your 10.11 release for easily changing back?

Stability wise, I haven't run into any issues. The new autogen scenery is considerably improved.

I think I'll pick this up today then.

Thanks Keith!

And yes, definitely install it side by side. There isn't a 64-bit plugin for Gizmo yet, so the CRJ2 and JS32 don't work properly yet.

Installed 10.20 tonight. It is pretty nice!

Can't wait to check it out with PE!

Now I need to setup all my custom controls with it again. (Maybe there is a way to export my keyboard/button press settings from 10.11?)

The only issue I have had is that on short final to 17 (or was it 24) at my home airport KILM, I loose control of the aircraft everytime, like I get hit by severe windshear. I think it probably has something to do with the custom KILM scenery I have though.

I did some testing with the default C172. It did seem to bounce around a bit more than normal? I thought it was my imagination.

I need to take the time to read through the beta release notes today and see exactly what they have been changing. The only thing I was privy to was the auto-gen scenery changes.

I don't recall noticing any handling changes between 10.20 and 10.10. Turbulence?

Yeah I was thinking turbulence, since I did test it in the default location that it dumps you in. (KSEA I believe)

It wouldn't surprise me at all it being a bit bumpy at SEATAC. I think I'm just weather spoiled flying around in socal. lol ;)

Although, have you seen the weather at KVNY this morning? I was listening to LiveATC and it was something like 360 at 15 (gusting to 25), quite a bit different than the normal 4-5mph it gets. I heard the ground controller say to someone "Are you sure you want to go out today? It's a bit windy."

Anyhow, I digress.
