Good article.
It's sort of cool to know that a large number of us on PE not only would have known what a "November" route was, we'd have filed it in the first place!

Forgive me maybe stupid question but ... is there any other way than checking LAX ATIS to determine traffic landing at LAXE or LAXW? I understand that ATIS will give the landing runways info but is there any other source to verify that? Thank you. Cheers, AJ

Use any weather source. The only way it'll be east ops is if it's blowing more than 10kts out of the east (I'm not going to cover the "over water" ops period from midnight, since we're closed at that point).
