Since all comments and suggestions will be run in EAST COAST FLY IN! - FLIGHT DESK! post, I edited this reply erasing all proposed flights so it does not create a confusion. Cheers, AJ :)

I added this "empty" reply to bump the post up since that fly in is coming up soon February 19th on next Tuesday. See you all there. Excited. Cheers, AJ

Gentlemen, in case you missed Keith's reply about the frequencies:
Either one is fine, 123.45 would be a lot more convenient because it's set up as a full duplex system. That means you can hear others while you're talking (like sitting in a real conference room), unlike a real radio. I would use 123.45 on the ground as a pseuo-conference room (mimicking that experience of being in a flight planning room), then once airborne, I would use 122.75 because it behaves like a regular radio channel, which is what you would be using while airborne during a group flight.

This assumes you're going without flight following, of course.
Question, if we fly VFR , are we going to use Flight Following or we just request VFR departure to the East and switch to 122.75 for a chat as a group flight?

If the weather is IMC, than of course we have no choice. :D

Cheers, AJ

A friendly reminder (with a big stick behind my back), please add the airport origin and destination to the thread title. I know this sounds picky, but I PROMISE you, these things are important as this scales up. People will come in this forum to find out where the event is to/from and it will frustrate them to see a topic like "east coast fly in' that effectively communicates nothing about the origin/destination in the title.

Please edit the title and keep it in mind for future events.

Otherwise, enjoy the flight! :) I'm very happy to see people putting events together on the network, it's a wonderful thing.

We are going to be connected to 123.45 before departing for a quick welcome and flight briefing.

Please try to be there NLT 7.10pm EST. I was thinking to have C6 as meeting point. What do you guys think?

We can do that, but it would be more realistic for GA planes to start on the south ramp at either Atlantic or Landmark (A5 or A6).
