Ok, so the I-5 is beating me in to submission.

I failed again tonight, this time thanks to a single little sentence tucked in to the CLARR02 arrival after the 29 palms transition instructions.

Did I mention I would really enjoy meeting the author of said document?

I'm doing this flight again tonight, as I -will- pass this test.. No really..

Brett,

That's why there's a graphical portion, to help you visualize the procedure. Run your finger along the track of the STAR, this is what I see without reading any of the text at the bottom:
TNP JOTNU GFS CLARR SKEBR ISSAR IPUMY BLD

What do you see?

Yeah, I was only reading the text. Oops

Anyway! I just passed it, so, woo hoo!

On to the I-6 now... Hope it doesn't kill me.

Brett, I'm glad you passed, but you might want to consider doing a few more SIDs and STARs to really cement this stuff. LAS-SAN, that one is a hoot (MCCRN SID, TNP, BARET STAR)

The rating introduces a skill, but it never a bad idea to practice after the rating to really master it. There are vectored sids, pilot nav sids and RNAV SIDS, we'll be covering them on Tuesday :)

Keith,
Yeah, don't get me wrong, I totally plan own practicing it a bunch more, just probably not in a business jet.
