This was my first flight in the T-6 Texan II. It was originally going to be kept offline for some DoD presentations but I opted to put it online for ease of accessibility:

Buck26 (T-6),
Glad to see your gear came down.

yeah I'm still curious what that was about. I'm not sure if it's related to hydraulic pressure, but it definitely seemed like it only came down when I added some power. I'm going to try to replicate that another time.

It makes my heart skip a beat when I don't see three green quickly...

I fly a retractable gear airplane, my days of being surprised by not seeing three down and green right away are well behind me

I did my HP/Complex training in a Saratoga and also fly my buddy's Lance II. In fact, he going to add me as a named pilot next month when his insurance renews. I also have access to a rental Arrow, but it's not HP. I'll be getting a lot more RG time once I finish my Instrument. I'm still new in RG planes but you have to start somewhere...

The Dakota is a 'high performance' airplane and chugs along at 130-140kts while a Lancair 360 will do 200kts and is NOT high performance. The name is just a label, truly.

Oh, I know. I love the Arrow. It's a great little plane. I just used the Toga so I'd have both endorsements for the Lance. Your Lancair is a speedy little plane!

Every plane has its mission, of course. The Lancair is great for speed, handling and economy. You pay for it with payload and 2 seats...but it's a trade that works for me.
When I was looking for an airplane, I reviewed my logbook and found that 90% of my flights were solo, 8-9% were with a single pax. Pretty telling numbers right there! Useless back seat, as it turns out

Is this the stock T-6 Texan II that comes with XP10, or is it an add-on?
