By now, it is no secret I have a large family and I try to allow us to participate together whenever possible. Recently, we (my family) have been talking about participating in a VA. Unfortunately, the VA's I am familiar with do not allow for smaller GA aircraft. Sometimes I do like to try and fly the big iron to see if what I *think* about how a large aircraft model is how it is in the virtual reality. I am desirous that my young flyers would also have the chance to test their metal (no pun intended).

Can anyone recommend a VA that has the opportunity to fly all classes of aircraft you think would be suitable for our family participation?

PS - Yes, I know I have enough pilots I could start our own VA!

I fly for 2 Va's that you may like. The first (Eagle Valley Air) caters mostly to the ORBX covered areas flying Bush and Charter flights. No jets. Mostly an older crowd and all very nice and helpful.
The second is Mirage Air. They are fairly new and quite abit younger but still have several old codgers like me. I fly there because they fly not only Bush but also Charter Jets up to the 737NGX.

There are a few XPlane users at MECva from what I'm told. The flights are tracked using VAFS which BTW should be updated sometime in the near future. XPUIPC is needed but you may be using that anyway. Great forums allthough the interface is not my favorite. Thur night IFR group flights and Sunday Bush flying happens on a regular basis.

I missed a niggling little detail of FWA only accepting 16 yrs-old and up which would exclude my 13 yr-old daughter. So, back to the search.

I'm going to check out Ron's suggestion of Mirage Executive. At least they accept children at thirteen.
