Today I flew out to Florence SC with my CFI for my Private Pilot practical exam from the DPE. I have been stressing for weeks preparing for this day. I had to postpone last weekend due to high winds and LLWS, then the plane went in for maintenance. Anywho, I flew out to KFLO as a pilot applicant and return to KILM as a private pilot, ASEL!!! Woot Woot!!!

Pilot Edge has been a big help in my quest and I look forward to putting my certificate to use!!

Congrats and great news! I hope to follow in your footsteps in the next several months.

Just because you have your ticket, don't drop PE. Keep practicing and learning or you will get rusty. There is a high tendacy to slack off after getting a PPL. People get busy, or money gets short, kids, wives, work, next thing you're hardly flying and you wind up in one of those FAA after-reports detailing the rookie mistakes you made that led to your accident involving X injuries.

Keep current. Keep practicing the basics, work on your navigation and situational awareness. Doing it on PE costs less than the gas to taxi in the RW. Congrats on your new PPL.

I have no intention of dropping PE. Shortly after starting this venture, my wife and I went to Palm Springs for the AOPA convention. That is where I learned about PE. Talk to the guys in the both. That inspired me to put a sim together so I could practice when I wasn't actually flying. If definitely helped me with the radio and complying to ATC instructions as well as navigation. No plans on leaving PE!
