Was wondering if anyone is using go flight modules with X Plane 10? Do they support payware aircraft (carenado)? Any reviews would be greatly appreciated.

I have many Go-Flight modules. Using Sandy Barbour's GF plugin all works well.
I use them for the Carenado B58 and the C172. Everything works, radios, A/P, ETC

Same here, multiple GoFlight modules with X-Plane 10.21 and they work with all planes. Stock, payware, freeware, you name it.

Hi guys,
Having just transitioned from FSX to X-Plane, I have a ton of GoFlight modules that I regularly used and I am now having difficulty using them with X-Plane.
I have installed Sandy Barbour's GF plugin (
http://www.xpluginsdk.org/goflight.htm) and two of my five modules work fine; but, the other modules do not appear at all in the configuration menu. I wouldn't mind as much if it wasn't for the fact that my radio module, GF 166, was one of the ones that didn't work.
According to GF's software, all devices are plugged in properly and recognized by the computer, which leads me to believe it's a plugin issue.
Can anybody offer up some guidance, please?
Thank you!

Hi Anthony,
Which modules are not working or not showing up on the configuration menu?
I do remember that my MCP Advanced needs to be plugged in direct to a USB port on the computer - not a USB hub
Maybe try this for your GF166 - mine work fine and are in the configuration menu. I have three of them.
Sandy's Plugins only supports certain modules(the ones that he owns):
From Sandy's Website:
These are supported for the stock X-Plane aircraft only.
GF-45
GF-46
GF-P8
GF-T8
GF-LGT
GF-MCP (Old and new modules)
GF-166 (Old and new modules)
GF-RP48 (Old and new modules)
GF-TQ6
GF-MCP Pro (Old and new modules)
GF-EFIS
GF-SECM
GF-LGT II
These have have always worked on all versions up to X-Plane V9.
They have also been tested on V10 and no problems found.
GF-MESM
The GF-MESM will only work on X-Plane V9 and later.
It will not work on versions prior to V9 and this will not be changed.
This is because it relies on functionality that is only available in versions V9 and V10.
GF-WCP
The GF-WCP will only work properly on X-Plane V9 and later.
It will not work properly on versions prior to V9 and this will not be changed.
This is because it relies on functionality that is only available in versions V9 and V10.
Also any X-Plane warnings that that are not available in V9 will obviously not work.
GF-DIO
This has been tested on V9 and V10 32 and 64 bit.
NOTE
Only the GF-MCP Pro is fully supported on the x737.
No other modules are supported with the x737.

Vincent, I own all the ones that he supports. All of them plugged into a powered hub, which is why I was perplexed why only two were recognized. Maybe for some of them they need to be directly plugged into the computer, as your surmised, so I will try this. The only problem is that I am maxed out of inputs so I will not be able to utilize all of the other modules that are currently not recognized and are plugged into the hub. Do you know why the hub doesn't work, or whether or not Sandy can be contacted to find a way to change this?
Thanks for your help, Vincent.

Something to consider if the number of USB devices to connect exceed the number of available ports. It is possible to use more than one USB hub.
Suggestions for things to check. Is it possible that the number of devices connected have exceed the available power in the USB hub? If the working modules are disconnected, do the other modules start working?
Perhaps a 2nd powered USB hub would help with trouble shooting.
Also note that many PC mother boards will behave strange if the USB power is over loaded above what the MB can handle.

Thanks, William. I do not believe the hub can't handle the amount of devices connected because when I go to the GoFlight Config screen (which sets up the inputs for FSX), all of the devices show up and can be controlled. They all work fine in FSX.
I pretty sure my MB can handle it. It's (supposedly) a beast - Sabertooth Z77.

I do not think Sandy is working with this plugin anymore - so it probably will not get changed.
I had to add a 4 port USB card to my computer to accommodate all of my devices(to get them to work the way I wanted) - that is another solution you can use
I am currently running 2 - 7 port powered USB hubs and have about 10 ports on the back of the computer.
