PE Transponder light

Would it be possible to connect to the PE transponder reciever light in FSUIPC so that I can illuminate the real light in my real simulator transponder? If there is an FSUIPC offset then it would be simple for me to interface to my hardware.

Regards,
Justin

Although I am no pro regarding this, have you looked at the FSUIPC SDK on http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html ?
It has a HUGE list of offsets, and other data and routines that might be of use for what you are interested in.

Then again, I'm sure you've already looked into it.

Hello,
Im assuming I would have to use a custom offset that communicates with PE through FSUIPC.

Justin,

This is an old request of mine to Keith. I tried everything (even the offset suggested by Squawkbox...) but the PE client does not recognize them. Keith is well aware of it and I hope he will find the time to take a look soon. It is one of my "lack of realism" issues. I still need to bring the client on the screen to switch mode while I could just push a button!

Keith, please.......................... :)

I see the thread. I will take another brief look at the offsets. What is the easiest way for me to test this once I've verified the offset?

Please know there are many tasks on my plate, I'm not developing full time, or anything close to it.

I've moved this to the Pilot Client Software forum.

I can test the client for you on my Sim if that helps. I assume I will just need to replace the .exe and test the offsets.

If it still doesn't work thatn we come up with a "Plan B".

What do you think?

Alex, yes, that's likely to be the case. We can start with that and if I need to test locally for more iterative debugging then we'll try Plan B.

Hello,
I'd be happy to test it with my gear as well , which is an opencockpits outputs card.

Thanks Keith!

Another option is to use a uhid device. They can accept input and output similar to a aduino.

Very handy for panel switchesand lights. Get the cables that plug into the board if u go that route.
