KSBP VOR-A Approach

Happy New Year to everybody ! I could use some help with interpreting the VOR-A approach for RWY 29 at San Luis Obispo. Basically I don't understand how I'm supposed to join the approach if I am coming from the South East i.e on V27. The approach plate only shows entry paths from the NW and no procedure turn for making an entry from any other direction. Obviously I'm lacking in some essential piece of knowledge here and hoping that somebody can enlighten me, or at least provide a pointer to wherever enlightenment is available.
Regards
Steve

From Morro Bay you'd fly outbound on the 264 radial and make your procedure turn within 10 miles of the VOR. The chart shows a basic barb there, 309 outbound, 129 inbound. Then you'd fly the 264 radial inbound over the VOR. Then the 084 radial outbound to the airport. The key is to notice that MQO is an IAF, so the procedure can begin from that point.
For enlightenment try the PE workshops if you haven't already.

Aha! So the 309 / 129 barb thingy is actually indicating the general nature of the procedure turn? I wondered if that might be the case, but obviously need to spend more study time on approach symbology.
Thanks
