Hi, in one of pilotedge videos someone talked a bout a ifrouter that ive tried to search but i dont remeber well the name.

was called something like myifrroute.com something like that. but google is not helping...



any suggestiosn for ifr routes?

i have route finder but its not that good , and faware not always i find a route i want to fly,

i have efb, but its not for that really....

A PE user put together MyFlightRoute. That might be what you're talking about. It won't plan routes for you but it does provide a nice place to look up TEC routes and generate a random flight given certain parameters.

For most central routes in SoCal use the FAA site
http://www.fly.faa.gov/rmt/nfdc_preferr ... tabase.jsp
(Input the 3 letter ID like SNA instead of KSNA and don't fill out any other boxes).

For the other areas like BFL, WJF, PMD, GCN just use www.skyvector.com - right click waypoints and add to flight plan.

i use skyvector all the time i wasnt aware that create flight plans.......

Most pilots who file TEC routes within Socal on PE are using myflightroute.com to do it (I can tell by the remarks in the flight plan).

Ryan, the advantage of using myflightroute is that it allows you to file on PE, too.

myflightroute only covers TEC routes in Socal. As Oakland is not in Socal you will not see it listed.

In addition to Sean's statement, OAK is actually not a covered airport, either. If you're going to fly out of that area, I'd recommend SFO, which actually has coverage.

Did not know interesting.,... but for some reason I've always liked skyvector.... going over my own route (when it's not a TEC one).

I use both sites. MyFlightRoute is a handy way to look up TEC routes and file on PE. I then look the route over on Skyvector, check out charts, get a quick overview of the area weather, then go fly. MyFlightRoute does have METARs, ATIS, and charts for the departure/destination airports but I think its a bit easier to get the whole picture on Skyvector.

Both are pretty great resources.
