Dserr no _driver
Soun.cpp line 904

Got this on load. I click "i understand". Then xplane doesnt open/crashes.

Was working yesterday.

Only change was i unplugged usb headset and when i started xplane today, it gave me this error.

Running windows7 64bit, new system from xforce.

Would disconnecting the usb headset be part of problem? I may have disabled standup speakers and been piping sound only to headset??

Thx

Does plugging the headset back in fix the issue?

you need to have a working default playback device and a working default recording device.

The xplane client normally handles the lack of a default recording device quite well, you hear "audio disabled" when it starts up. My guess, then, is that there is no default playback device...a case that it hasn't handled before.

Thanks guys,

So if I understand what Keith was saying... It should start ok, as long as I replug in the headset before start so as to have the default playback/recording device recognizable.

I would simply plug it in and find out, but am away from computer and the fact it was not loading before, I left for work, is driving me nuts. (a little OCD:)

Thanks

that's right. The minimum requirements to use the software do include a valid recording and playback device.
