If you're flying a series of touch and goes at a controlled airport what would be the correct radio call when you are holding short at the start? I know its slightly different in the us to the uk, part;y why I am asking!

Suggest watching the V-1 video in the pilot training program (http://training.pilotedge.net), or reading the transcript for the V-1 rating. Those ratings are designed to step you through a very common series of VFR and IFR operations.

"John Wayne Tower, Cessna 123AB, short of 19L at Kilo, ready for closed traffic," should do it.
