Any one of the 5 remaining NDB approaches........especially fun is the NDB-C at KWJF with a procedure turn. Try it with a strong cross wind.

Not sure I'd consider it hard, but definitely pretty unique- the LOC/DME-A into KNZY. You actually fly the KSAN LOC27 then break off toward the end.

The LOC RWY 27 at SAN to minimums with 2 VORs, no DME or GPS.

Or how about the ILS or LOC/DME Rwy 21R at KNYL. The full approach from COVOK, which includes a full 180 degrees arc DME, but of course without fancy stuff like GPS, FMS, autopilots, flight directors, etc. actually without even a RMI, just a couple of VOR's and a DME... Lots of fun.
