I-9 now OPTIONAL for piston pilots

After further consideration, it's going to be a little while before we can replace the I-9 rating. For this reason we're going to make the I-9 rating optional. You can complete the I-8 and move directly to the I-10 if you wish.
The current IFR training program was built prior to PilotEdge's existence for an audience that consisted almost entirely of jet pilots. Since the PilotEdge audience has a higher percentage of piston-only pilots, it no longer makes sense to require the I-9. If you're comfortable with flying jets, I highly recommend flying the I-9, but if you're a piston-only pilot, you don't need to worry about it any more!
