Thanks for the info. I always enjoy reading local knowledge bits.
As far as Reid-Hillview goes I understand the reasoning for most of the bullet points such as:
* no touch and goes in the evening
* no formation flights
* no low level fly by's (aka...KS, you're not allowed here!)
But...what does "no turns more than 60 degrees bank in the pattern" have to do with noise abatement?

I would think that a turn with a bank angle of more than 60 degrees would be considered a "high performance" maneuver, by its nature implying noise. Specifically, a turn of more than 60 degrees requires more power, more power=more noise. I would guess that it is also intended to discourage a high speed approach terminating in a "mid-field brake" type of maneuver over the airport.

We're lucky to have a r/w RHV controller that frequents our forum. What say you, Mr Fries?
Is the 60 deg limitation to stop all the experimental guys doing overhead breaks?

+60 degree bank is classified as an aerobatic manuver which is prohibited in class D airsapce by FAR, what this has to do with noise abatement is beyond me.

Yes - But people always get mad at me for noticing this stuff, so I left it to someone else
