It started as a quick run to get the Bell 407 from L18 back to 46CA on FSE. It was my first solo in the 407 since receiving some more instruction from Chris.

Couple of hops from L18 to Hoffman: http://www.twitch.tv/ksmith_pe/c/6109494

Then it was Hoffman to 46CA via the JLI VOR....literally to the VOR (a few pedal turns around it for practice with a reasonable breeze blowing up there): http://www.twitch.tv/ksmith_pe/c/6109614

I noticed a 737 parked on the ramp, so we got to talkin' and the games began: http://www.twitch.tv/ksmith_pe/c/6109724

Before I knew it, there were 4-5 737's and several Bell 407's watching the action: http://www.twitch.tv/ksmith_pe/c/6109891

It was another night of fun at 46CA! I'm very happy with the 407 now...I really get what all the fuss is about!

Lest I forget, the final standings for the short field landing, to the best of my recollection:

1) Josh Gibbs, stopped at Bravo
2) Ty Shuff, nosewheel abeam 4th light from the end.
3) Keith Smith, right nacelle abeam the 4th light from the end.
4) Peter Grey, keyboard-based braking issues thwarted him at every turn but even with that, was still able to get the thing stopped on the runway.

"Keyboard-based braking issues" huh.... :)

I watched the whole thing, and have been practicing since. Best I can do is rear end of the engines at the edge of the tarmac. Impressive work guys!
