This probably seems minor to all you old hands around here but, wow, what a thrill. :D

I actually did this twice but the controller got his hands full last night with a ton of aircraft so I didn't get a chance to ask about pass/fail. This morning I hopped on first thing and beat the rush. A big thank you to all the controllers, you do great work. Time for some more learning so I can tackle the V2 and 3.

Great vid, and congrats! I'm curious what scenery you're using. I liked it.

I'm also curious whether you always land with such a shallow approach. Is that what I should be doing? I'm always worried I'll slip and land short of the runway. But there's no arguing with your results as reported by the Landing plugin.

Once again, congrats! I'll be trying the V-1 myself shortly.

The addons I use: http://www.thegeeksdayz.com/xplane/xp_addons.html
The awesome KSNA scenery is by Jeff N: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app ... file=20878
More SoCal scenery from Jeff here: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=3489

The shallow approach was me being sloppy while trying to be on glideslope. Obviously I'm rusty and need more practice. :)

Thanks for the reply, Kerbo. Those sceneries look nice! I downloaded one (KIZA) just to give it a try, but I'll probably end up getting all of them. Alas, I don't have the LA photosceneries that are no longer available from simheaven.com.

Your plugins look interesting, too. The road one in particular interests me. I just get nervous about having to overwrite the default XPlane textures.

Anyway, thanks again for a helpful video.
