SmartCopilot on PE?

So I was just reading up on all this exciting talk about SmartCopilot. I'm thinking this could be a fun project for a buddy of mine and I. I'm wondering, can this be used along with PilotEdge? And if so how would you execute that? It seems to me that both pilots would be connected as two different planes in the same location.
