Hi
How do I do it with a chopper?
KSMO told me I can't take the mini route back south cause I'm a chopper and stuff.
Is there a separate protocols and scenario for us, the rotor rafts guys?
TNX
Yigal.

Looking at the LAX TAC, the mini-route is restricted to:

"Fixed-wing, non-turbo jet aircraft only"

That being said, you could just take a different route back across the Bravo instead of the mini-route, although that may result in you picking up 3 Bravo clearances (1st transition, 2nd transition, 3rd transition to get back into the Bravo to land at TOA depending on how low you're willing to go). I'm sure the controllers won't mind, seeing as its just another opportunity to mess-up?

Hmm, you're definitely right, but for some reason I can't see the route on the TAC. Is the helicopter coastal route located on the TAC or is it on a special chart?

I believe it is actually called the "shoreline route" which is depicted on the LA west helicopter chart.
