New headset, no audio out

I just purchased a new Plantronics headset from Best Buy. I hear PE communications, but cannot get ATC to respond to my calls. I tested the mic output using MS Sound Recorder and was able to make and play back a recording of my voice, so I know the signal is getting into my PC. The Tx light on the PE interface illuminates when I press my push to talk key. Anyone have a clue as to what my problem is?

Just wondering. Is this new mic set up as the Windows default input device?

Have you performed the mic calibration steps/test on the PE client?

If you use the PE receiver on a different PC, can you hear any clicks when you press the PPT?

Problem solved. I needed to go into the Windows 7 sound properties and set the configuration levels for the new microphone. This mic required a higher input level setting than my previous unit. Once I boosted it up, PE could hear me 5/5.
