Bluescreen during rating

Hi,
I had a bluescreen when taxiing out for my V1 and I'm not able to restart it again tonight. I'm assuming the attempt will just be abandoned but is there anything I should do to explicitly close it off?

No. In this scenario, the controller would cancel the flight plan for you. If you weren't under radar services, the flight plan would automagically close for you. If you need any help with the BSOD, feel free to ask

Otherwise, good luck on the V1.

there isn't really a 'flight plan' to close in this case, at least not in the sense of a real world VFR flight plan or IFR flight plan. If pilots disappear during the middle of a flight, we generally assume that there was a real world interruption or a technical issue, unless there was some sort of disagreement that had just happened on the frequency (rare, but it can happen).

Hmm, does that mean the flight plans are kept "open" on, for example, your personal PEAware page until a magical timer runs out? Usually if I crash and disconnect, the flight plan disappears off my personal PEAware (not the Homepage, which predictably disappears after you disconnect) after "the controller notices". Or has that been placebo and it just automatically disappears when you disconnect without PEAware having recognized "flight over"?

From a flight tracking perspective, PEaware has its mechanisms for tracking the progress of flights.
