Intermittent failures to change frequency

Not sure if its local to my setup, but it happens often enough that I would just like it to be noted "just in case" there is a fix/prevention on either end of the connection.

When changing frequencies, most often from Tower to Departure, the "network" will not change the frequency -- i.e. I will switch to Departure, but be told that I am still with tower. I swap the comm freq's, and re-swap back to departure, but STILL with tower -- even though the connection box indicator at the bottom of the PE application bar, shows the correct "Connected on xxx.xx" Departure and reflects the frequency swap both ways (as do the comm radios in the sim.)

It is not a consistent problem, but this afternoon just took the wind out of my sails.... This was KSMO Tower 120.1, to SoCal Dep 125.2, about 12:30pm.

Was hoping to get a flight in before heading off to the salt mines...

Don,

We have had a few reports of that lately, we're not yet sure of the cause. Disconnecting and reconnecting appears to help. The issue is that the server is either not sending a directive to your client to tell it to change voice rooms, or the client is receiving the directive but isn't able to effectively change rooms. It's going to take some debugging to find out what is causing it.

Thanks Keith. (As an aside, my apologies to the controller if my disappointment showed through as being inappropriately abrupt. She wasn't the target. )

I went to check in on your recording Donovan, sounded fine to me....

I also caught a listen to Radar at that time...heard a clearance from the tower freq that had a very predictable outcome so I had to go a check it out. A newbie pilot was on and was testing the system so to say, the controller was a great example on how awesome PE is.

Simply epic
