Pilot edge /fsx sound issue

I have an odd situation in that the volume of the pilotedge client ( the controllers voice ) increases and decrease whenever I change focus between the sim and the client
It is very bad for me as I am having a hard time hearing the atc instructions clearly
Is this normal or particular to my set up
I have a great computer and I always wear a headset
One thing I have to always do is almost turn off the environment and engines sounds in fsx or I just cant hear enough
Thoughts
Can someone point me to a thread on this
Thank you
Peter

This is a pesky Windows thing...

1. Right click on the volume symbol in your taskbar, on the right bottom corner.
2. Click on play back devices.
3. Goto communication and check " do nothing".

Thx Ryan (trust an FAA employee to know exactly where the "Do Nothing" button is! *ducks*)

I've moved this to the FSX forum since it's...entirely about FSX.
