I just downloaded the program and installed it into P3D. As soon as I
try to start it and error pops up with a red X that says C:\Programfiles
(x86) \Pilotedge\pilotede_p3d.exe

the application has failed to start because it's side-by-side
configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use
the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail.

Has anyone run into this or know of a solution?

Found the problem. Found another thread where it said to install simconnect that came with the install program and is in the program folder, which it did not mention in the instructions for the P3D install. I installed it , and now the program runs.

We haven't seen this as an issue with P3D before afaik. Moving this to the P3D forum, btw.
