Hello,

I am very new to PilotEdge and any form of ATC communication, so starting out has been quite difficult for me. Is there any sort of all-encompassing reference or manual that tells me what to say to ATC and at non-towered airports? To be honest, I am very tired of googling every situation that I could come across at an airport, so does something like this exist?

In short, this is what I'm looking for:

When departing VFR at a towered airport with Clearance Delivery, Ground, and Tower, start by calling Clearance Delivery and say [...]
Clearance Delivery will say back [...]
Then [...]

I kid actually, if you do nothing but the ratings with some researching on the side you will do just fine.

As a pure-sim pilot everything I know about ATC I learned from the PE resources. My one recommendation is to not focus on the mechanical how of communication but the why. When you know why certain things are said at certain times your comms become a lot less rote and unexpected situations don't throw you for a loop.

Also ask yourself "What do I want to do?"

Then you can decide what you need to ask ATC... great links above!
