Theres a new update for FS Global Real Weather out, which supports X-Plane as of v10.41. It's a free update for exisiting users.
I didn't try it yet, although I have been using FSGRW for a long time in FSX, because I won't update to 10.4X until all the remaining issues are fixed. And I'll be building a new PC in the meantime, so it will be a fresh install.

I was digging around on their website last night but couldn't find an answer of whether they have a free trial period for their software. I have to find something the X-Plane weather engine is the worst.

If anyone can find a plugin which supports X-Plane's ability to load multiple weather systems at once (ie, clear over here but cloudy over there) then I'd be interested, otherwise, that's not a feature I'm willing to give up.
I haven't seen anything in the xplane SDK which allows you to set the cloud layers on anything other than a global basis.

Keith,
What are you using for weather and clouds? Default X-Plane?
I am using stock X-Plane clouds and NOAA plugin weather. One thing I miss is Active Sky when it comes to flying in X-Plane.
