El Capitan update and SASL crashes

I've been absent from PE for several days after my iMac went belly up.

New one on the way (was ready for an upgrade anyway), but it will have 10.11.1 on it, I expect.

I was getting the El Capitan (10.11 at the time) X-Plane crash when changing SASL equipped planes (Carenado, etc.), and reverted to Yosemite for several reasons, including the XP one. The work around, described by Ben Supnik, is a bit of a nuisance.

I've asked on the .org forum whether 10.11.1 has solved the problem, but nobody has yet answered. Can anyone here tell me whether they've found that Apple's update has cured the problem, or not? I know it was supposed to be correcting some audio plugin issues, and my understanding was that it was unloading SASL audio code that was causing the crash.
